The railway station

The railway station of the tsarist era, built in 1902, is an example of neoclassicism. Semi-circular windows and pilasters, an octagonal main lobby, a glass roof - the building looks especially impressive in the rays of evening illumination. Next to the entrance to the main building, you will find a sculpture of a stationmaster, who keeps watch day and night. A cap with a cockade, a watch on a chain and a lantern - this is what caretakers looked like in the days of the Russian Empire.
