Boriso-Gleb and Holy Cross churches

Boriso-Gleb and Holy Cross churches are located on the same territory. Borisoglebskaya Church is an architectural monument of the XVII century. Initially, the church was a brick residential building, which in 1869 was rebuilt into a temple. At the beginning of the 21st century, the walls of the church were decorated with folk-style frescoes, but today, unfortunately, they are almost invisible, with pilasters and kokoshniks. The church was built in the shape of a square with a high dome and three pediments. The church was located on the territory of the Borisoglebsky Monastery, which was the residence of Bishop Sylvester I of Kosovo. For a long time the church was closed, but at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War it was reopened.
